I can get some great tones out of this pedal, but sometimes it is hard to find ones that cut through in a band setting. With more gain, i tend to lose some of the bass and low mids that cut through. But overall i'm happy with it, and tend to leave it on to get some tubey warmth and grind.

The Tech 21 VT bass pedal is a solid performing pre amp. It sounds good, and has a large range of tones from clean to nasty. The treble, mid, and bass controls are very responsive.
Plug this pedal directly into a power amp, or use it with a regular bass amp. There are several ways of hooking it up. Try it out. K?
