Straight out of the box this thing provided me with sounds I couldn't imagine coming from my bass. Love it. Had to take a break from trying the pedal out and could not stop thinking about it while I was away from it. The sounds are comparable to any synth noise you can think of. Great product and considering its about $100 less than the BOSS version there is no way you can't buy this.

This is a great little pedal that has a lot of potential. You have to play with it a lot to find out how to get it to respond, as different pick-up combinations on my Godin make for very different responses from the pedal. I've only recorded a couple of times with it because I spend a lot of time trying out the various Synth voices ; then trying out p/u combinations to see which works best. My single coils don't seem to work very well but in-phase humbuckers do. Not sure why yet although I suspect this will vary from guitar to guitar. I also have an on-board COMP in my Godin ; the pedal doesn't seem to like it. Again, not sure why but I am pleased with the results once I find something that does work. This pedal also is good for more than just Bass Synth as some synth settings work well in upper registers as well. For the price, this is a great additional tone source ; it's hard to beat as I haven't found anything in the price range like it.
